Did the Met electric locos haul trains into and out of the terminating roads at Moorgate, i.e. via the widened lines? (I'm sure I've seen a pic somewhere of the short loco spurs at Moorgate all fully kitted out with conductor rails.)

Yep they could (and occassion did) take trains into Moorgate bays before the station rebuilding and realignments of the covered way. How ever the normal practice was for them to use Liverpool Street bay and loco neck.
