The smoke wafted up the northbound tunnel causing Green Park to close for a while.

Everything was ok when I passed through Victoria shortly before 1700. There were a few extended intervals, but nothing too severe.

It coincided with a major power failure on Victoria main line station.

Train construction and fire retardancy have come a long way over the years, so fires are rarely serious these days.

After a week, is the train back in service with a new battery? Or is this a job for Derby to fix up?

After a week, is the train back in service with a new battery? Or is this a job for Derby to fix up? Train is out of service to find the cause of the battery fire. Trains are well out of warranty, so BT won't be touching it.

In this case, BT is Bombardier Transportation.

References to "BT Police" can also be confusing - in that case meaning British Transport Police. (British Telecom doesn't have its own police force!)

After 3 months, is the train back in service with a new battery? Or what's happening? The train is back in service as of the 16th Nov after having both batteries replaced.
