Has anyone any insight to what LUL was describing as a Signal Fault at G Rd. at around 13h today? Southern tangent of inner rail suspended. Looking at the Signal Modernisation Area migration plan that Mike Harvie published many moons ago, I'm a bit confused as to where the current hand over points from conventional signalling to SMA 5 (West Ken. etc.) and SMA 4 (Sloane Square?) take effect and why would signalling equipment at G Rd. be the cause. Perhaps I've missed something in the discussion of the SMAs elsewhere. Thanks.

Same thing happened yesterday (14th) around the same time (I was coming back from Dagenham Heathway and had a 20 minute wait for a train)

There has been ongoing problems at Gloucester Road since the heavy rain on Monday evening ranging from dual aspects and no aspects to points failing. Various items of equipment including relays and trip arms have required replacement.
I'm sure someone with better insight could add more meat to the bones, but that's the basic's of it.

SMA 5 has not been commissioned yet, signalling in the Gloucester Road , South Kensington, High St Kensington, Earls Court, West Kensington, Olympia areas are the same . The plan has been delayed as far as I Know the date for commission SMA 5 has not published.

as far as I Know the date for commission SMA 5 has not published. It has been - November 2021 - though it's widely expected to slip to January 2022.

So the higher management decided to suspend the Circle for the rest of the day
