Does anyone know when the speed restriction on the southbound approach to harrow on the hill which has been in place due to the lift works taking place will be removed? Its been a very long time and much longer than I anticipated!

Presumably until all hoardings and other platform width and movement constraints are back to normal. Not particularly necessary during the worst lockdown periods but with traffic picking up a bit, I expect it's occasionally crowded at that part of the platform.

Is there a rough month or date this will happen? I recall reading the original date as being around December 2019!

All of the hoardings and equipment at Ickenham have been removed but the speed restriction remains. Who's to say when the Harrow one will go?

Still there in September 2021! Surely a date must be set now to remove the restriction as the works look complete

Probably a one-shot restriction lifting?

Still there in September 2021! Surely a date must be set now to remove the restriction as the works look complete As long as there are construction hoardings infringing on platform space on the southbound (which they are as of 20 September), the Temporary Speed Restriction will remain in place as mitigation. For those not acquainted with the layout at Harrow-on-the-Hill, platforms 5/6 are serval meters narrower than the rest and in-spite of the markings, crowds still have a tendency to congregate in the area between the stairs, the information desk (also being rebuilt) and the subway stairs/former goods lift. This area is also where the new passenger lifts have been installed which are currently having their electrics fitted out.
