I presume that Aldwych station remains available for filming purposes if required, but any train movements will be achieved with computer-graphics That's my understanding. There is also the possibility of the present Elephant & Castle Bakerloo line station, which will be bypassed by the extension, becoming a filming location with real train movements possible.

Travelcards and Oyster/Contactless cards give "free" access to the masses of buses that connect Holborn to Aldwych. It is only a short distance to walk on the surface.

The only way that Aldwych will be served by rail again is if someone builds a new line through the area and chooses that as a stop. However if that does happen then it will almost certainly either be a complete rebuild or a completely new station, and probably the latter. The likelihood of that happening is low however as a new line would likely prioritise an interchange at Holborn, Temple (or both if it's a north-south line).

There was some thought about a DLR extension from Bank to Charing Cross which included expanding the Jubilee line original tunnels.

Looks all right to me platform 4 is platform to cockfosters platform 3 to Heathrow and the old aldwych platform is next to the west/southbound platform 3

But the Aldwych junction is just beyond the platform, and in earlier days the final Aldwych departure was the Opera Special passenger through to Finsbury Park. so if the "old aldwych platform is next to the west/southbound platform" then they have got it all wrong, and what else besides?

O yes my mistake it is the south/westbound platform that is at lower level can now see what's wrong with the plans

It's a very short walk from Temple which is on an east-west line.

What about if it was an east west line? An east-west line would be very unlikely to interchange with both Holborn and Temple, given the latter is about 800 metres south of the latter, rather the interchange would be with one or the other.
