Someone told me yesterday it is actually illegal for a London Underground station to be left overnight without one person on duty throughout the night. Is this true guys?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Section 12s have to have a member of staff overnight or all the entrances have to be locked. Also if contractors are working on any station I think there has to be a member of staff on duty.
I left stations in 2002 so my memory is a little hazy

unfortunately, this thread is very close to being against Rule 7b, discussion about security.
MoreToJack has answered the direct question whether it’s Illegal for stations to be un-staffed at night.
