would that be the cromwell curve that is the abandoned part? No, the Cromwell Curve was between Gloucester Road and HSK, west of the existing Circle Line tracks. Remembering that the image is reversed, the train you see is an EB waiting to leave. It is on what was orginally the WB Met owned Circle track. There used to be two EB and 2 WB track and platforms plus a central bay and a couple of sidings and a bay on the south side. The disused platform in the picture was the EB Circle. There used to be a double flat junction at the east end of S Ken. I'm sure someone has a plan of it somewhere. The layout was changed about 1957 so that the two old Met tracks became two EB and the old DR tracks became 2 WB. [Tries desperately to regain street cred]

Without giving too much away, I only really know "numbers" so can't comment....
