I believe it has been earmarked for disposal for a number of years. With the disposal of the remaining four Motive Power Units in November, these must be some of the last 67TS vehicles left on LU books.

One of the Motive Power Units was sold to some one private buyer.

Last I heard was that it will be broken up on site due to the lack of money to take it out by rail. Should provide plenty of spares for Bakerloo.
Needs to be done early in 2021 to provide stabling space at Northfields Depot to facilitate the upgrade of South Harrow sidings for Piccadilly new stock, which in turn creates stabling space to permit Northfields to be rebuilt.
Regards,
Dan

Regards, Dan Ah right ok interesting as I thought this was to replace the 1960 stock that's doing the inspections so far. Also another thing I saw a 73 stock with some equipment inside for departmental stuff recently near northfields. Is that set a withdrawn one?

That would be one of the two 3-car double-ended units that are temporarily withdrawn each autumn to act as rail adhesion trains, one west the other east. These are now having the temporary equipment removed and will be returned to passenger service.

Are the two units dedicated or do they use any unit? Seem to remember additional hatches were added in the units involved?

I went on the Piccadilly last week and the AIT was still there, looking very dirty. I wonder when it'll move...

There is road access from Northfields Avenue that goes into the depot. In fact, if you look on Google maps there appears to be a train loaded onto something on the depot road.,

The two cars are not loaded, they are resting on the ground, to be taken away at a similar time to the AiT described in this thread.

It's not blocked anymore they used it during some works last year and also will be using it when they take away the asset train and old 73 stock in a few weeks

I would imagine that anything that was useful for spares has been stripped long ago.
