Jubilee line trains got into difficulty this morning with one in "the dip" and the other leaving Neasden South this morning stalling in what could not be a worse position knocking out the Metropolitan south of Wembley Park and the Jubilee north of Willesden Green.
It must have been rather serious compared to your more typical gapping procedure given how protracted the incident was.

"Dizzying levels of incompetence!!!"........Some of these people need to ratchet back the hyberbole, climb down from the high horse and realise that occasionally, even with the best of intentions, things go wrong in all walks. That's life and it'll never change.

The crowds at West Hampstead THAMESLINK this morning were beyond anything I have seen there in the past 15 years of commuting from Luton.
Obviously the Met/Jub incident had knocked on with those seeking alternative routes, but Thameslink itself was in farce mode with a 700 dewirement and OLE damage just south of Luton and only 2 lines open and only about 1/3 trains running.
At least I was passing through WHP today, not attempting to use it. One could just wave at the crowds unable to board from ones de-classed first class 700 seat. (And It's not often I've seen the internal load indicator on a 700 indicating all cars full both arriving and departing from the same station; there is usually one not-so-full car somewhere.)

I had reason to travel on that day to central London from the Uxbridge branch. I thought about going to Harrow-on-the-Hill and using the rail but then realized from my previous experience that everyone else would have that idea. Instead, I got off at Sudbury Hill and caught the late running train from Sudbury Hill Harrow - it was busy but not absolutely packed. I saw several met trains queuing on approach to Finchley Road.

Sorry to be a pedant, but might I add that in official London Underground parlance, a stalled train refers to a train that is being detained in section (ie. not in a platform), with customers on board, and as such the Jubilee line train that became gapped was not stalled, because as it was due to go into the depot, there were no customers on board.
This is important because, not only does L.U have a stalled train target (this is the maximum time customers _should_ be stuck on a train between stations where there is an issue on the line whereby it can’t continue to go forwards), but it is a term recognised by the British Transport Police and London Ambulance Service as whenever there is a large incident on the line they will typically be notified and asked about any stalled trains, information is shared between those two agencies to direct resources appropriately; and if this information is wrong then obviously there are potential consequences regarding this!

commuter , Changed now , I was pondering over the words when starting this as it wasn't immediately clear at the time what had gone wrong.

To bring this full circle, there were a few stalled Met line trains on current but unable to move throughout the incident.
