Travelling home through Stratford last night, on heading up to the DLR platforms there was an empty unit sat in 4a, with the destination board showing Pudding Mill Lane, which is the first time I've ever seen that. The inbound train on 4b was absolutely packed when it arrived, so I assume there was some sort of event on at the Olympic stadium (Pudding Mill Lane itself was very busy when we arrived there too). I was wondering if the train on 4a was some sort of extra service to help handle the crowds? The service at that time of night is usually only 6tph so I can imagine having a unit shuttle back and forth to Stratford could help.

It was probably connected to the "football match" at The London Stadium. West Ham fans too distraught at another loss to walk!

There are also West Ham terminating trains from International after matches at the stadium.
