As-planned, this is the penultimate two-part question of the month, but things can change! (no larger version available)

It's not that unusual at the moment - there are loads of weekend shutdowns between Whitechapel & Earls Court.

that looks like it was taken from a WB approaching Whitechapel platform 3 with a D stock waiting to come back east in 4 and 25 siding in the background.

delboy 200 clearly disagrees, so it's not unanimous! But I agree that it's Whitechapel.

It is Whitechapel....although an interesting move...eastbound into a westbound platform. Wuld love to know why and what is going on I don't think the train is actually moving into the platform, it's already berthed in the platform, having arrived westbound. The driver has changed ends and is ready to depart eastbound. For a train to actually come into platform 4 in an eastbound direction would require a wrong direction move, which certainly would be unusual.

Answer:
Well done to Tom and the rest of you who correctly identified this as Whitechapel. Aspect, who took this photograph, noted that "[The] train is reversing from WB Platform 4 to Upminster. Left track is Whitechapel 25 siding"
