Is it my imagination or are the Met line trains between Baker Street and Finchley Road able to run ar a higher speed under CBTC than they were able to under the old legacy signalling?
If so, is this down to formal speed limit changes, and/or a reduction in need to cater for overlaps etc.?
I just felt that the ride is a bit more brisk at times than it would have been in the past, and a southbound speed reduction just south of Lords doesn't seem to occur any more. Additionally, this morning whilst waiting for a train I was on at Baker St. to depart, I was watching a train arrive into the bay platform 1, and that seemed to run into the platform more aggressively than I seem to recall seeing before.
Of course I could just be imagining things!

This was recently discussed in the SSR resignalling thread. Locking this one to avoid duplication.
