Any reason why there are loads of fast trains running between harrow and finchely right now? Just seen lots between finchely and harrow and another two in both platforms 5 and 6 at harrow both switch to semi fast
Tfl not showing any problems with the service

I think it was like today with issues at Baker Street or Euston Square causing a 7+ mins stoppage.
Today alternate Northbound Amersham and Uxbridge trains were running via the Fast Lines as were the Baker Street Terminators from Uxbridge Branch.
Naturally, with such compressed frequencies stemming to/from the Fast Lines, trains are chasing the aspects between Wembley Pk and Finchley Rd.

Is the Met going through a bad patch? Wednesday afternoon the n/b service had big gaps. I was at Finchley Road about 4:15 aiming to go for Uxbridge. First in was a fast Amersham so full I couldn't get on. Next was a fast Watford, had to stand all the way to Harrow and when the Uxbridge finally arrived so full had to fight to get in. Yesterday long wait for an eastbound from Ruislip Manor at 11 am, slow Aldgate turns into a fast to Moorgate as we pull into Harrow then we all get turfed out. This morning I see delays shown.

The Uxbridge service always seems to come off worse because bar a handful of peak hour extras all trains come through from the City. About this time on Wednesday there was a signal failure at Liverpool street, and there was a half hour gap in the NB/WB service. In this time from Harrow there were four Watford and one Amersham trains all carrying fresh air.

And it’s very easy to divert a Watford to Uxbridge as the running time is similar. I feel sorry for the staff at Harrow on the Hill because trains get rerouted into different platforms / diverted at very short notice, with the staff knowing nothing about it, thus unable to advise passengers. It is then those staff who incur the wrath of the passengers who see a near empty train heading for their intended destination.
