I wanted to let you know about London Transport Museum's upcoming Depot Open Weekend 'All change!' (28-29 September, Acton Town) and offer you a discount code for 25% off when booking tickets online. For those that haven't been to the Depot before, it's where the Museum houses the majority of its collection - over 320,000 objects from London's transport history. The Depot Open Weekends take place three times a year and include a programme of talks, tours of the collection, equipment demonstrations, workshops and family activities inspired by a different theme each time. Children and young people under 18 go free too, so its a great family day out. - Travel back in time to exotic shores with Christian Wolmar as he talks Railways and the Raj, mapping out the evolution of Indian Railways, one of the largest rail networks in the world.
- Learn about London’s oldest railway terminus – London Bridge – and learn about its transformation by the Thameslink programme into a triple award-winning station.
- Watch a demonstration with restored London Underground signalling frames.
