I am soon to start work building a Trevor Charlton 00 gauge horse box (rare things to get hold of nowadays). I am a little puzzled by the likely livery. On the assumption that the main body will be represented as varnished teak, it would seem usual that all the lettering/numbering on it would be yellow/gold. However, on studying the various black and white photographs that are available, it would seem that the lettering/numbering might be white. Has anyone any views on this?

This website index here has a MET Rly horse box that might be a helpful reference to you. I've got some colourisation software somewhere, I'll see if I can get any traces of colors off that.
