Sorry for the delay in answering this - its chaos here today!
DStock18 took this photograph and the answer she gave me was simply "Temple" - I don't know any more detail than that. Well done to abe.

Temple, the only station name shared with the Paris Metro now that Arsenal has been dropped from the latter. Yes, there is quite a history about the Inner and Middle Temples and their history as centres of legal training, etc.
