Hello all, I want to build some small gauge models of modern stock, but struggling to find what colour codes I require when it comes to painting. I think I know what colours I require for the red and blue, but is there a set shade of white, and what colour is the grey of a roof of a D78? Thanks

Hello, I notice that some of the standard colours have changed over time and I've no idea whether this (or previous) would ever have applied to the D stock roof but here is a link to the the current corporate colour standards: content.tfl.gov.uk/tfl-colour-standards-issue04.pdf

For better or for worse I use rattle cans and the colours I am using are: Traffic red RAL 3020 Ultramarine blue RAL 5002 Very light grey ..... the nearest I have found is NCS S1502-Y 50R but it still isn't quite grey enough. A problem I have discovered is that only a few UK paint mixing machines have this colour, so results vary. The roof colour changes: I use Halfords grey primer as a compromise. Taking samples to Colorite in Hanwell and explaining that you are painting plastic models is the best solution I have found. I hope that helps.
Update: the official colour confirmed by TfL is NCS S1502-Y not NCS S1502-Y 50R
