My info has it this coming weekend the train(s) are formed 20 + SS + TC + 20. My gen source and the timetable notice were wrong then. Maybe wrong for the better I suggest. All I'll say is my post was in good faith.

Plans change, some times multiple times, and in reality on LU the only time confirmation appears is when (if) a train leaves the depot. It is (partially) for this reason why we have rule 7.1 in place: 7.1 (Unusual Train Movements) This forum does not actively encourage the posting of the timings for unusual train movements for the following reasons: - (7.1a) The information is usually available only within documents marked 'for internal use only'
- (7.1b) The timings can never be guaranteed - in fact these sort of movements often don't happen at the times published, if at all
- (7.1c) Making the details of such movements public could cause issues with unplanned overcrowding at stations or other locations
It isn’t the first (and won’t be the last) that notices display differently to what will actually work the train, or for compositions to change. The important thing is that everyone riding and watching enjoyed themselves! Sadly when I was out and about yesterday I saw lots of tripods set up adjacent or over the yellow lines - there’s no way all of these would have been granted permission. It gets said a lot but if people don’t follow the rules then heritage runs will end, and that would be a shame.

As much a clarification for other members than anything else - I certainly didn’t see anything wrong with the information you posted at the time, this no green ink. 🙂

I believe the reason for the standby 20 was to do with SS. There were works to be done on the loco before this run, so the extra 20 was there just in case it was required.

I also had some railgen info on train movements prior to this weekend's events. I did not share it here because I knew it would not be welcomed. As it happens, the info proved inaccurate as the train ran 30 mins early!
