Anyone got any background information on why there’s a Temporary Speed Restriction imposed on the Southbound Local and Fast approach to Harrow-on-the-Hill?
I only ask because it’s getting on close to three weeks and unlike Farringdon which has been recently plain lined, the p-way around there is fairly young.

Unrelated to the track or signalling; mitigation against the reduced platform space at the bottom of the stairs, due to the hoarding around the former Information Room. The hoarding is there as part of the step-free upgrade works to provide lift access at the station, so will be in place for some time.

MoreToJack, Thankyou. That makes perfect sense since platform 5/6 are a couple metres narrower than 1/2 and 3/4 and have had the yellow box treatment warning people to not to stand by the blue hoardings.
