The 1967 stock were used on the Hainault-Woodford service for a time, and I think that is north end of Hainault depot visible through the window.

Some nice nostalgic photos. Pity about pic 16:"Victoria Line Tube" showing a Central Line line map. The caption actually says "1967 Central Line Tube" - has it been corrected? The most interesting picture is the "1946 Amersham (Metropolitan Line) carriage". This appears to be one of the two prototypes, numbered 17000 and 20000 - the seating layout suggests its probably the latter. I've found a video

When I looked this morning it definately said "Victoria line" hence my post. According to the header the photos are from the LT collection,so do we have the Guardian writer or someone at Covent Garden reading our Forum? The mystery deepens Watson
