Easy! But I'll give the non-staff members a chance first.

Barking underpass WB with the T&H and LT&S lines overhead? I.e. the Barking flyover?
Or it's the new D Stock trainport. Ideal for parking your train at home.

That Ealing Common is an elaborate illusion and District Train Ops actually keep their trains at the bottom of their gardens at night?

Right okay, I'd go with Barking. Are we depot side ramp or station side ramp?

We're heading into Barking westbound, just gone past the sidings. The picture is looking at the front of the train (unless it's doing a shunt move).

Strictly the NR lines on the top are the LT&S*, as the T&H**starts at the west end of the station, surely? [Barking Station Jn - Tilbury Line Jn West (via T&H Lines Flyover)].
Did the T/Op think whilst he/she was taking the photo "I did put the handbrake on didn't I?".
*Former London, Tilbury & Southend and ** Tottenham & Hampstead which the Gospel Oak - Barking GOBLIN trains also use: "between 1400 and 1845 on Saturdays when trains from 1325 SO Gospel Oak - Barking / 1408 SO Barking - Gospel Oak to 1755 SO Gospel Oak - Barking / 1838 SO Barking - Gospel Oak (all inclusive) are scheduled to use platform 7 via the T&H Lines Flyover]": PSUL

I think Chris M might have blanked off the lights and certainly the desto... there appears to be a reflection on the neggi rail.

Sorry to bump this thread but it is relevant. Ths is from another forum Last night C2C had their OHLE down in the East Ham area on their Down lines around 1800 [kids throwing something on to the Overhead?]. They had 6 stalled trains on the down line with the intention to Wrong Directional Move them back towards Limehouse and send them round Gas Works Jn via Stratford to Barking. However, the trains sat there for over 2 hours with no movement.
Passengers got a little bit peeved and self detrained on to the LUL tracks resulting in chaos on the H&C + District. Because of the self detrainments District traction current had to be discharged immediately resulting in a number of their trains being stalled.
God knows why C2C didn't use their disused platforms on to LULs side, or ask for LULs assistance is a mistery. It could have been far more controlled than it was....
When I travelled home on the C2C from Fenchurch Street (District still wasn't running) at about 2200, my train was diverted via Gas Works Jn round via Stratford to Barking plt 7 and then off to Shoeburyness. However it appeared that the Up trains were running the normal route although very delayed. This is of course the little-used ex L& BR? single line from Limehouse via Gas Factory Junction to Bow Junction (GER) alongside the DLR and that affords access to Stratford, and thence Forest Gate Junction-Woodgrange Park Junction, and finally Barking Station Junction.

There was disruption from about 17:30 until about 23:00. C2C made a complete mess of the whole thing, hence our suspension.
I'm going to try to get the 'official version' when I book on later today and will try to bring you the edited highlights.

Answer:This is indeed the Barking flyunder, well done everyone. I don't know the answer to the other questions asked, but I've asked the person who took the photo (who doesn't want to be identified) and they may or may not chose to answer. The unmodified version is below:

I have read a lot about the incident, or rather what was an interpretation thereof. However what was fascinating was that it was suggested that the stations with disused platforms have the possibility of being used in an emergency and LU have the keys to them. If they had been used was that the first time since 1962? Just came across this official information: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6520453.stmI apologise for going off-topic.

Once again I have to apologise for dragging an old thread kicking & screaming back to life but new info has come to light.
At present PSUL says:
Forest Gate Jn - Woodgrange Park Jn and Barking Station Jn - Tilbury Line Jn West (via Tottenahm & Hampstead) Lines Flyover)
2258 SSuX, 2358 SSuX Liverpool Street - Shoeburyness 2136 SSuX, 2236 SSuX Shoeburyness - Liverpool Street
Trains to or from the T&H line use Barking bay platform line 1; exception: between 1400 and 1845 on Saturdays when trains from 1325 SO Gospel Oak - Barking / 1408 SO Barking - Gospel Oak to 1755 SO Gospel Oak - Barking / 1838 SO Barking - Gospel Oak (all inclusive) are scheduled to use platform 7 via the T&H Lines Flyover]
Mike Stone comments:
From the start of the new timetable trains over this line run at (slightly) more convenient times (SX);- 20.04, 21.03 Barking - Liverpool Street 20.38, 21.38 Liverpool Street - Barking
Interesting!
