It's the back of a C stock heading west on either the Richmond or Wimbledon branches. This picture was also taken a while ago as the C stock has the pre-Connect radio aerial.

Because of the greenery, I reckon it's departing Southfields headed for East Putney.

I don't think so - I think most of the Wimbleware drivers change the roller blinds on both ends to the appropriate destination (Edgware Road for the east end cab, Wimbledon for the west end cab) and leave it there throughout the diagram. If this train were headed for East Putney, 95% of the time it would say Wimbledon on the back.
Thinking some more, this may be a westbound C stock heading into Fulham Broadway.

But just yesterday I boarded a C stock at Putney Bridge heading to Edgware Road, and the destination on the FRONT blind said WIMBLEDON!!

I reckon the photo was taken from a train sitting at W375 approaching Wimbledon. *Prepares to be proved completely wrong* ;D

Its not the back/front of the C stock that's been trundling around Northfields - Acton Town for a while now is it?

Acton Town-Ealing Common. An interesting thought - you probably feel that the white patches behind the trees are unrefurbs at ECDPT. It's certainly a possibility, but the w/b Ealing line seems awfully clean in that photo - usually there's weeds and scrap rail and other detritus scattered along the six-foot in the area.

Maybe the weedkilling train went along that stretch just before the snap was taken.

Wimby Park... westbound... that behind the trees may relate to the SWT sheds...

Hangs head in shame. The cab door's open so it has to be the front? so Olympia it is, I think?? Second time lucky?

Now if my guard did that to me, there's only one way we will be going... and it won't be forwards.

I agree with Olympia - Chris why is the destination covered in the second image when we've all seen it in the first? (or did ya forget to edit it ;D ;D?)

AnswerWell done, this is indeed a C stock at Olympia as photographed by Aspect. The unmodified photo is below:
