Hello again. I am wondering if there are any resources available that tell us what the size and radius of Tube Stock wheels are. If there isn't a designated standard for the size, are there resources that tell us what the size and radius of the 1938 Stock wheels are?

www.trainweb.org/tubeprune/Dimensions.htm#Dimensions has information on the wheel diameter for various stocks (A, C, D, 1967/72, 1973, 1992, 1995/96) but not the 1938 stock. The earlier tube stocks all seem to have had a wheel diameter of 788 mm so that would be my first guess for the 1938 stock.

1956/59/62 stock is also missing but I would assume that the wheel diameter would be the same as 35/38/49 stock.

Thanks for that. Also semi-related but are there any good photos of the bar coupling used between trailer cars on older tube stock?

Thanks for that. Also semi-related but are there any good photos of the bar coupling used between trailer cars on older tube stock? Tube stock from 1935 stock onwards up to 2009 stock? have coupling trays. The tray carries the train and main line pipes and other pipe works. Older stocks pre-1938 the train and main lines were carried at waist leave as there was little room at sole bar level due to the low nature of the cars. I’m sure there is a photo online of them somewhere and I know the 1967 car in the museum still has it on.
