Agree with Alex, the 38ts? Is it the Uxbridge Centenarian which ran on 4th July 2004? Or is it the run to Uxbridge in November 2003, which coincided with an open weekend at Acton. I was lucky enough to go on both trips.

Is it the Uxbridge Centenarian which ran on 4th July 2004? No. The train set number for the centenarian was 100.

I concur with Ealing Common, looking Eastbound.

Was this train going wrong road into the EB platform? It would explain the marker lights and lack of a tail............from where would a train do this..the depot? Could you rev west to east doing this too?

C'mon, let's try to work out Chris' devious mind. Now why should he 'yellow out' ALL 5 destination indicators (markers) unless there was something unusual lurking behind one or more of them?? And why fog out the cab windows?? And why can't the red markers be seen at all, even as dark dots??

The LT Museum's restored 1938 Tube Sock train ran return trips between Acton Town and Uxbridge as train 374, back in October 2003.

Well as there are no tailights that i can see illuminated then that means that the 38 is carrying out a move from Ealing Common depot to the eastbound platform. Hence the marker lights blanked out ;D

Was this train going wrong road into the EB platform? It would explain the marker lights and lack of a tail............from where would a train do this..the depot? Coming from the depot, it would be a signalled move from the outlet shunt signal up to the fixed red light - then change ends and go east. Could you rev west to east doing this too? No - the only move available from the westbound is into the depot via a shunt signal. EDIT: with regards to the lack of tail lights; look closely - Chris has covered them up with a black spot. Having zoomed in, it looks to me like they are illuminated.

To try and disguise the station and to confuse us a bit more... I personally got it from the track layout in the background.

Well done all, this is eastbound at Ealing Common. Aspect took the photograph, but didn't tell me when it was taken. The unmodified picture is below:
