Hi All. Been away from here for a few years but after a nudge from my good friends of the Virtual District Line team they persuaded me to continue with my C69 cab ready for an update to the route. Just the back wall and animations to do. Don't worry about the outside of the cab as you can't see it in the simulator. It just looks good in 3D Canvas.

Excellent !!! just missing the sounds and smell !! TBC does appear to be held down, (ie. not latched-up) in a braking postion, so something should be indicated on air gauge.

Don't worry, I have all the animations to do yet. That tour around the cab was just to show what I've modelled. We are going to try an opening up sequence in a scenario including brake test so I'm working on animations for that, plus all the trip switches for lights etc.

A little video to demonstrate the cab lights. Still got to do the other animations and we may have a new sound set for this when completed.

For Train Simulator or for Railworks?

If by Train Simulator you mean the Dovetail Games version, that is the same as Railworks.

Yes. It is Dovetail Games Train Simulator 2019. This stock will be released with the Virtual District Line Route which is from Earls Court to Ealing Broadway with extensions to Edgeware Road, Wimbledon, Richmond and Kensington Olympia. You will need Just Trains Marylebone to Aylesbury route and the London to Brighton line as a lot of assets have been used from those routes.

Exceptionally late to this party - what assets will be used for the District Line signal heads, please?

Very excited about this, I should also mention Just Trains Metropolitan Line pack is apparently imminent.

Is there any sort of release date for the route update yet? Also, is there any chance of it including the District between at least Earl's Court and Tower Hill, or even Embankment?
Thanks,
-Peter
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread

Hi Peter, Backdated Train Sim are being tight-lipped but they've hinted that the intention is to complete the District Line. I asked about the possibility of R or CO/CP stock and got an intriguingly vague response.

I asked about the possibility of R or CO/CP stock and got an intriguingly vague response. OK - thanks. I travel on the District Line very rarely (not living anywhere near London), but I would love to be able to drive at least from, say, Ealing Broadway to Embankment. Tower Hill if we are lucky! Hopefully, we will eventually have those trains as well - I like the D78 stock we have at the moment, and I am thinking about buying the S8 stock. There are some reskins etc. online for the S8 to turn it into an S7 stock, and that would be good to have on the District Line for TS. Thanks, -Peter

Just wanted to say "Well done!" to everyone who has worked on the new Virtual District Line update for TS. I saw it on Alan Thomson's livestream last night and it looked fabulous - just goes to show what the freeware community can do! Good luck with sorting out the rest of the route and I hope it will be released soon, -Peter
