Hi,
Some time back I bought an original station double sided lightup underground sign. The previous owner had wired it up with a mains connection. Unfortunately the lamp has gone in it and wanted to find out if anyone knows how to open it up so I can replace the lamp. Before I go any further is this OK to ask on this forum? If so I can post pictures of the sign.
Regards

If it is a modern sign with grey trim there will be two slots - either on the base or one on each side (near the bottom).
You insert a flat blade screwdriver blade into each slot and the sign face springs open.
You can then open the sign to access the lamps. There are struts inside to keep it open.
(Make sure the power is isolated before you do this.)

Thanks for the replies. It's definitely a modern type sign, here are a couple of pictures. Let me know if further images would help. Unfortunately it's missing one edge trim along the bottom.

If you gently prise off the sections of grey trim between the corners a number of screws should be revealed.
If you remove these the panel should come off.
The trim will push back into place afterwards.

I finally got round to taking a look over the weekend and the trim came off as you mentioned. I can finally get the lamp replaced.
Thanks
