I start where north moved south, but head west
I alight for an escalator link before boarding a train to a travelator.
I board through a double single door, and alight where children sing of falling down.
Taking a train for sunshine I change at a station that was in the news one July, boarding an older train on a newer line to view the station where contractors service platforms unevenly.
I leave the system here temporarily, but re-enter one stop west.
At this station I board Artery's train to an agricultural worker's shrubbery, where I again touch out, for a short walk to a station that will gain a suffix in the not too distant future.
I travel two stops to the terminus, where I once again leave and renter the system, this time I must just cross a road to the toolmaker's other station.
Taking a train driven by our esteemed leader, I alight where I might meet Pat in his hat.
I next board a shorter train to Phil's "home" LU station, where I interchange and take a train to my final destination, where 12 October 1952 will never be forgotten.

I start where north moved south, but head west not sure about this one... I alight for an escalator link before boarding a train to a travelator. Bank --> Waterloo (W+C) I board through a double single door, and alight where children sing of falling down. to London Bridge Taking a train for sunshine I change at a station that was in the news one July, boarding an older train on a newer line to view the station where contractors service platforms unevenly. --> Stockwell to Euston I leave the system here temporarily, but re-enter one stop west.
Euston Square --> Notting Hill Gate At this station I board Artery's train to an agricultural worker's shrubbery, where I again touch out, for a short walk to a station that will gain a suffix in the not too distant future. Shepherds Bush --> Shepherds Bush (H+C) I travel two stops to the terminus, where I once again leave and renter the system, this time I must just cross a road to the toolmaker's other station. Hammersmith Taking a train driven by our esteemed leader, I alight where I might meet Pat in his hat. Earls Court I next board a shorter train to Phil's "home" LU station, where I interchange and take a train to my final destination, where 12 October 1952 will never be forgotten.
To Paddington on C stock and then on the GWML... anything correct?

Rob, you are mostly correct, Tom you are correct. The full route is: I start where north moved south, but head west This is Whitechapel, the northern terminus moved south to here from Shoreditch. I alight for an escalator link before boarding a train to a travelator. I alight at Monument for the connection to Bank, described as an 'escalator link' on old maps. I then take the Waterloo and City Line to Waterloo, where I take the travellator to the Jubilee Line. I board through a double single door, and alight where children sing of falling down. The double single door is the single leaf PED and train door at the end of a carriage. London Bridge is falling down is a nursery rhyme. Taking a train for sunshine I change at a station that was in the news one July, boarding an older train on a newer line to view the station where contractors service platforms unevenly. As one member has in his sig "Head south for sunshine", so this is a southbound train, and therefore the Northern Line. The station south of London Bridge that was in the news one July is Stockwell. The Victoria Line is newer than the Northern Line, but the trains are older. The station I alight at is actually Oxford Circus, referencing the photograph of the Metronet sign posted on the forum recently. I leave the system here temporarily, but re-enter one stop west. This is a walk along Oxford Street to Bond Street station. At this station I board Artery's train to an agricultural worker's shrubbery, where I again touch out, for a short walk to a station that will gain a suffix in the not too distant future. Artery drives on the Central Line, a westbound train will take me to Shepherds Bush, where I take the short walk to the H&C station of the same name that will gain the suffix 'Market' at some point (or at least it will the last time I heard).
I travel two stops to the terminus, where I once again leave and renter the system, this time I must just cross a road to the toolmaker's other station.
This leg of the journey takes me to Hammersmith H&C, and then I cross the road to the District and Piccadilly Line station. Taking a train driven by our esteemed leader, I alight where I might meet Pat in his hat. Our esteemed leader, Dave, drives District Line trains for a living (well, someone has to ;D). Pat, who notes his hat-wearing in his signature, posts here as AET Earl's Court. I next board a shorter train to Phil's "home" LU station, where I interchange and take a train to my final destination, where 12 October 1952 will never be forgotten. Phil's "home" LU station is Paddington (where he enters the LU system after FGW have conveyed him from Gloucestershire), which can only be reached from Earl's Court by C stocks, which are shorter than D stocks. My final destination is indeed Harrow and Wealdstone, where on 12 October 1952 the most deadly railway accident in peacetime (and the deadliest ever in England) occurred. This is obviously reached from Paddinton by the Bakerloo Line.
