It seems that this absence is being linked (on social media) to drivers not coming to work so thst could watch England vs Croatia.
I’m not suggesting that is the case, but this was a red rag to a bull.
If anyone did throw a sickie, it wasn’t worth it because England did their usual trick of losing when it matters!
