The latest papers for next week's Finance Committee have been published. tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/finance-committee 4th July 2018 The papers are not mega thrilling but cover - regular Finance update on revenue, costs, passenger numbers. - a rather complex paper on the future structure of Crossrail and TfL Rail Infrastructure subsidiaries to move money between businesses to cover access charges, maintenance of the railway and payment of Crossrail specific loans. I confess I don't understand the tax stuff here but the diagrams showing the relationships and monetary flows are interesting. - paper on future of Connect comms system / contract - paper on commercialisation of telecoms systems and use of TfL assets. Covers potential introduction of telephony and wifi on the Tube plus other initiatives. - update on TfL Consulting

It also confirms the date of May 2018 for the reopening of the subsidiary entrances at Buckhurst Hill (I think it was actually the 4th, or that's the day I first noted it as open). This was a "low hanging plum" to enable them to say that work had started on the 22-station stepless access programme. I think we established they had closed in 1982 so that makes 36 years of disuse. content.tfl.gov.uk/pic-20180703-item13-lu-stations-renewals-and-enhancements-programme.pdf para 5.1.3
