I can't find any mention of a derailment on the Northern Line in 2000 on any news websites from the era (and you can be bet the Evening Standard would be mentioning it if it happened) nor in the Railways Archive. TfL published several press releases about a derailment at Camden Town in October 2003 web.archive.org/web/20031205204245/http://tube.tfl.gov.uk:80/content/pressreleases/archive/default0310.asp I can't find TfL press releases older than 2001. Ken Livingstone issued one press release relating to LU in November 2000. This was publishhed on the 16th of the month and relates to an opinion poll about PPP which expressed concerns about safety and doesn't mention a derailment. I can't imagine that he wouldn't use a significant incident like a derailment to further his campaign against PPP - especially as he did in 2003.

Isn't this the incident where a straight rail was made to fit on a curve?

Underground News (London Underground Railway Society monthly magazine) may be a good place to search. I cannot imagine them not mentioning it.

The Northern line did suffer a significant number of minor derailments in the depots over the years since introduction of the 95TS, most were related to new pointwork and rails installed in the depots at the time.
The 95TS Northern Line trains suffered many more derailments than 96TS Jubilee Line trains over the same time period, as the 95TS Bogies are a different design to the 96TS.
Following the Camden Town derailment more attention was paid to bogie maintenace and car height/ bogie height set up post wheel turning. And changes were made to the manufactuers recomended maintenance processes as a result.
The incidence of derailments since Camden has reduced significantly on the 95TS.
