I've heard the Lizzie Line and someone the other day called it the Li-li. There seem to be many naming disputes between enthusiasts and others over what to call the line. I also wonder what else it is going to be called.

I also wonder what else it is going to be called. When it breaks down, unavailable rolling stock, stranded in tunnels-there are lots of existing words which can and will be used

I also wonder what else it is going to be called. Well, rather predictably, I am going to take my nice 1980s Crossrail mug (complete with NSE liveried train on it) with me on the first day. As it will no doubt be cold and wet when the line opens a flask and a nice "appopriate" mug to drink out seems the right thing to do to counteract the no doubt endless plugging of the "ridiculous royal name" that will be taking place.

When it goes wrong, it will be Furious Rail. Slightly wrong would be Vexed Rail?

Crossrail when it’s a good day. Crossfail when it’s a bad day. I said before that replacing "rail" with "fail" should cover most of our parody bases thing ( linky).
