I have an old Northern line WTT from 1976 which has 54 trains off peak and 95 peak. That’s a difference of 41 trains. There must have been a high proportion of split shifts back in those days where crews worked only am and pm peak. I believe the Met had a similar disparity.
How was crewing done differently in those days?
