Anyone know if there is there a hold facility on the westbound?

There isn't, but the connect radio system does the job nicely.

I believe so, yes, Rayners Lane cabin (and maybe others) also has the ability to hold the X signals under its control at danger (or at least some of them).

X signals are physically wired as automatics so they should be able to keep the Signals at danger
Only exception to this would be if the signal was a controlled / auto signal and it’s been changed temporarily to PNX ### where these are the Signals protecting a possession.
On another note FDX ### Signals are Signals protecting a floodgate

On another note FDX ### Signals are Signals protecting a floodgate On the District Line yes, other Lines would be suitably appended: N - Northern; B - Bakerloo etc.

Yes, both OPX175 and OPX131 at the Paddingtons can be held at (or returned to) danger via rotary switches at Edgware Road. OZX101 at Goldhawk Road has no such facility, but trains are routinely asked to hold via Connect. There's definitely a hold facility on MWX746 at Hillingdon westbound from Rayners Lane, but I'm not sure of others.

I'm confident there's a hold facility for both MUX738 (Ruislip Westbound) and MUX743 (Ickenham Eastbound) as well. I don't believe that there are any MPX signals, hence the absence of any facility to place or hold them at danger

No MPX signals although WVX505 (first signal on EB Picc after leaving Rayners Lane) does appear on the diagram in Rayners Lane Cabin for information purposes. When walking the area on the ground it's surprising just how close the signal is to Rayners Lane itself actually.

Thanks for all the replies, I suspect a hold facility at Goldhawk Road was considered before connect came along.
