While glancing at one pf the other quizzes in this section I had an idea for a new sort. Below is a quote from an old LU rule book (actually from one of the appendices to the rule book) but rather than leave it in plain English it has been translated several times using on-line translation services before being translated back into English. Your task is to work out firstly what is being talked about and secondly try to provide a properly translated version as near the original as you can manage. Obviously you won't be word perfect but try to get the meaning right.
Any way here is the quote:
All signs of runner and runner which repeat signs drawers a plate with number, with the number of sign that it is shown in the letters and the conformation in the plate. In lines the line of victoria, the number of black in a white floor for signs of jamb and black in a yellow floor is repeat signs. According to victoria the number of blank in a black floor for signs automatic running, and the blank in a red floor for automatic signs running is half. The numbers of automatic signs are generally preceded by the letter 'A', when the automatic signs will charge halfly the number with lever where by they are performed, precedent by blocking the letters to the box of the sign or by of code of the chamber of the machine.

I presume it helps to be in possession of said rule book Nice idea for a quiz: apart from thinking it refers to signals used in conjunction with ATO on the Vic, I'm stumped. Wanders off muttering about 'wet sheep': ask if you dare
