Hi all,
What is the difference between TfL staff oysters issued by TfL/LU and staff oysters issued by LOROL/MTR Crossrail. For example do you they look and appear exactly the same, in terms of colour and details, and is their validity increased on NR Services.
Many thanks

I was curious as a LOROL staff member told me that his staff oyster is valid between Liverpool Street & Shenfield on Greater Anglia services. I am aware that LU/TfL staff oysters are not accepted so I wondered why and if there was any difference between the two?

Both companies have additional national rail staff privilege travel facilities in line with most TOCs; this is not the same as the TfL Staff Oyster

Slightly off track, but this topic has made me think of a question. Using a staff oyster, would you be eligible to travel on crossrail?

The theory is yes, but it's yet to be confirmed either way. The present is already there for the Shenfield end, and I can't see the core being excluded, but it's Oyster to Reading that seems to be the one bringing most uncertainty. There are a lot of people hoping to find out, for certain, either way.

Received the pensioner on the move today and it says when the Elizabeth line goes to Reading in 2018 Staff Oyster cards and their nominees can travel free.
