Looks like there was a problem at harrow on the hill today. Got to Pinner at 8.20, a fast aldgate train passed just after i had arrived, followed just after by a Chiltern train which came to a halt outside the southbound fast signal (the one situated above the tracks) just after Pinner station. I was surpised the Chiltern came to a halt as it had been quite a few mins after the aldgate train passed.
Got to harrow on the hill on my semi fast baker street and saw a fast aldgate train on platform 5, i am guessing this was the same one that passed at Pinner? However, my baker street semi fast was allowed to depart first.
Any idea what happened?

I believe that there was a signal failure at HotH that affected one of the local lines.

Numerous signalling and points problems around Harrow south junction ultimately requiring major curtailments and adjustments to northbound services. Southbound trains were running through but with severe disruption as a knock on.
All Amersham/Chesham services ran via Wembley Park 1, fast line, Harrow 1 and Main Line, all services up the local from Wembley diverted to Uxbridge. Watford was left being served only by a shuttle service from Northwood. No local line service Harrow-Northwood on the North.
I haven't the exact details of the failure to hand right now (having just woken up following the first event-free shift for a week. 😎)
