Hi
Is this the place to ask about the rationale that form the basis of some long established policies here?
Is there any scope for some latitude in one or two respects?
Appreciate if there is scope for discussion or otherwise. At the risk of exclusion, I will leave it there for the moment
Many thanks B

Hi Is this the place to ask about the rationale that form the basis of some long established policies here? Is there any scope for some latitude in one or two respects? Appreciate if there is scope for discussion or otherwise. At the risk of exclusion, I will leave it there for the moment Many thanks B When the forum started back in 2005 there were no rules, however sadly the membership has been taken advantage of by unsavory characters throughout the past 12 years. In a perfect world the staff take the opinion that no rules would need to exist, however the forum rules that have been created are based upon experience / interaction of some naive and some deceptive / manipulative characters. For example those that like to publish porn links / phishing messages, others seeking information how they might obtain unauthorised access to London Underground locations (e.g. obtaining cab rides - security: now there's a hot topic if ever there was one) or a few who like to target railway enthusiasts so they can charge over inflated prices for items they have obtained lawfully / unlawfully. RememberThis forum is a happy place were railway enthusiasts and railway professionals (mainline and LU) meet and interact. Forum staff know through experience that it is viewed by LU management, the press and politicians. We therefore believe that we are the foremost place for anyone with an interest in the oldest Underground/Metro system in the world. I was fortunate enough to have known Dave before he passed back in March 2011 and we will not allow Dave's forum and legacy to be tarnished by anyone. Each rule has been created as a direct result of something that has occurred. Can you please PM me with the questions you have so I can raise the issue(s) with other forum staff. Kind regards ChrisW
