As my last quiz didn´t have THAT many participants, here´s another try, concentrating on ONE book (Although thanks to t/op 92 and alexh joining in in my [glow=red,2,300]VERY FIRST[/glow] one ) The Book concentrated on this time is the DLR Official Handbook (ok well it´s not completely LU ) ISBN 1854142232. 1) How many pictures are there in the whole book incl. Diagrams & Cover Pics? (That should keep you counting ) 2. How many authors are there, and what are their names? 3. On what page did a Person named Ian Bell make a photograph? 4. In ref with no 3, what are the last 10 words to the comment to the picture? 5. ANAGRAM QUIZ (Dlr stations only) a) Upindgd Ilml Alen b) Mustcuh Seo c) Owch Burch d) Als Inalts e) Kebocnt f) Arial Toicvoyr g) Abkn < (extremely hard ) h) Oweeg Aytwtaw Let´s see how long it takes to figure all anagrams out ?! Cheers Marty

No worries from me as well Marty, sorry I only knew something about the last question. I do like quizzes and puzzles, as if I don't know the answers I can learn a fair bit reading the posts afterwards

5. ANAGRAM QUIZ (Dlr stations only) a) Upindgd Ilml Alen Pudding Mill Laneb) Mustcuh Seo Custom Housec) [glow=red,2,300]Owch Burch [/glow] Bow Churchd) Als Inalts All saintse) Kebocnt Becktonf) Arial Toicvoyr Royal Victoriag) Abkn < (extremely hard ) *ankh) Oweeg Aytwtaw Tower gateway Owch Burch really is correct for me - especially Owch! (So here comes my anecdote mind ... It´s now two years ago that I got on to a District Line Train at that station (all right, so the District station is called Bow Road, phooey ) and it stood there for ages. By phoning someone I know at LU, i soon found out that there had been some kind of a points failure at Minories. The train finally moved off and arrived FINALLY at Mile End, the Driver requesting that if we want to go into the city we should use the Central. I stayed on (stupid me) because I wanted to see what was going to happen next. It takes us about 10 minutes to get to Whitechapel, and by now I´d had enough, and I got on the ELL. A friend of mine stayed on (He had once puked on the ELL because of a strong smell of alcohol and he still doesn´t like it today) and he told me it had taken him 25 minutes to get to Tower Hill (the Driver of the H&c in front had seemingly taken a wrong ´un) and he got to dinner home 2 hours later than he usually does! (Although he had already been late out of work) So much for Owch Burch! Oh, and Phil, I nearly forgot- All Anagrams correct... (Goes to the route diagram and starts thinking of new ones ) Cheers Marty

I am very happy (not) that Phil has already gotten the anagrams (I thought I´d made ´em hard ) - how about someone try on the other ones - oh, and Phil - I miss your Daily Picture Quiz - what´s the matter?

oh, and Phil - I miss your Daily Picture Quiz - what´s the matter? Lack of source material! When each pic only lasts about 10 minutes it's a case of demand exceeding supply
