Not sure whether to put this in on diversion or not. If meeting someone at Moor Park station, is the public allowed to drive on the surrounding private roads?

The machine gun posts, security cameras, guard patrols, barbed wire fences and attack dogs are part of a special service that they extend to their... more enthusiastic visitors. And the fully armed Scorpion FV101 CRVT is merely a courtesy detail. The residents of Moor Park look forwards to your visit in future lives.

Why would you want to drive when there is a perfectly good railway service available?

I remember when I worked on the Met our DsMs had a car to use so they could cover the large area that they were responsible for It had the normal LUL markings. They were told in no uncertain terms that a commercial vehicle could not go on the estate without the express permission of the committee The response was when your train service goes pear shaped we will submit a written application to drive the van On to the estate. This would have only been on Sundays as the service was iimited to every 30 mins on the Amersham Branch and every 30 mins on the Watford Branch.

Whist there is number plate recognition at many of the entrances, the entry from Moor Lane is the only manned 'sentry post', provided you are not driving a commercial vehicle if challenged just say you are going to Tolly's the butchers ( shop very close to the station)
