I don't know where exactly they are going, but by the end of the day all 8 cars should be gone.

I thought there was only 5 cars in Acton Works, 5112-6112+6113+5113 and 6132. Correct me if I am wrong.

You might be right, I have never played close attention to the number of cars, just nerd out about there being A stock in the sidings In other news, I expect the rest of stock in the acton works sidings to be going very soon.

Ah fair enough so. I imagine everything is going to make way for that new shed for the 92ts?

As reported in Rail Engineer, the scope of works for the Bakerloo 72 stocks is now frozen until Mid-2018 when work will resume for completion by 2020, The main objective of the recent work undertaken at Acton was rectifying structural defects such as corrosion in the frames. In 2018 the focus will shift to modifying certain trailers for disability access etc. which will inevitably require under seat equipment being relocated and re-wired.

Thanks for the info, but what I was referring to with the 72's is that they are brought to Acton via rail, and I was assuming that 28 would be swallowed by the new workshop for the central line project. I have seen the drawings now and know that both 27 and 28 road will remain in place. The main focus currently is trying to clear the yard out before they start ripping up the track.

Ah right, understood, are there any other layout changes specifically related to this project or is this the result of a general consensus to clear old rolling stock at the works?

The yard is going to disappear completely, except those two roads.

I believe the change is to build a new workshop to facilitate 1992 Stock AC Traction and associated works...

I believe the change is to build a new workshop to facilitate 1992 Stock AC Traction and associated works... Yes, the building will be built with the primary focus on the 92 overhaul but it is to be 'future proofed' so it should be possible in theory to get an s stock inside without uncoupling.
