When 62TS was on the Central Line programme lifts were done at Hainault & Ruislip only did casualty lifts, think this was a throwback to when new stock was prepared at Ruislip. Is this still the case with 92TS?As far as I know the Central was the only line that had this arrangement,on other lines the major depot did most of the heavy work.

Depends on which depot you regard as the major depot.
Northfields was assumed to be the major depot on the Piccadilly but nearly all programme lifts were done at Cockfosters. (I can remember one or two being done at Northfields but with the staff travelling from Cockfosters to Northfields to do it.)
It could be the depot with the largest storage capacity did the programme lifts.

I think the reason Hainault did the lifting of 62TS was that from the delivery of all stock from 59TS to 73TS most of the lifting roads at Ruislip were full of new stock,in those days the trains arrived as just carriages & bogies everthing else such as motors, MAs, compressors & shoegear had to be fitted.
