In the May edition of the Railway Magazine there is a reference to the EOR changing ownership. Does anyone have any information on this? I done a quick search on Companies house and that doesn't reveal any change of director. It does however reveal some other news that could be of some concern that things aren't quite what they could be. It's public information if anyone cares to have a look.

Roger Wright bought the company outright.
Hence the director resignations if that's what you mean.

The filing history seems to show a company regulatory issue which has been resolved.
No idea whether there is a change in ownership although with any railway or business owned by one person, there will always need to be a succession plan sooner or later.

I'm aware that company matters may have only been a case of late filing of annual returns or something similar. The only chages of directors was quite a long time ago, unless someone knows something that hasn't been recorded with Companies House yet.

It usually means, as you say, that returns are late and shouldn't be viewed as anything other than procedural. We must be mindful that speculation about a company's position can, in itself, be detrimental to its well being.

Can anyone who has a copy please outline the report (don't upload to the internet as copyright applies).
The forum has a senior representative of the EOR as a member (who I am in direct contact with) and who is able to acknowledge the truth or quash any unsubstantiated rumours on behalf of the railway. However they need to be aware of the details first.
UPDATE In fact, scrub that.
As I write for the same media house (Morton's), albeit another publication, I'll own this issue and get back to you Kind regards

I have exchanged emails with the editor of The Railway Magazine (Chris Milner). The following item was published, not in May, but instead in the April edition of the magazine - posted here with kind permission of The Railway Magazine.
There is no reference to any change in ownership or Directorship.
Can we first establish which magazine the report was published in (confirm that it's definitely The Railway Magazine) and then the edition. We can then confirm the contents of the report (I will try to obtain permission to post it here) and finally I will invite the forum member who can officially speak for the EOR to post.
Many thanks

Having read what was said in The Railway Magazine I honestly can't see the need to have started this thread.
A lack of steam locos is a fairly good reason to cancel a steam gala.
Why go looking for something sinister?

Why go looking for something sinister? I don't think you're a million miles away from the truth 😉 When I get home I'll post more 🤓 But I have a curry to enjoy first 😜

I've just got home and I've exchanged a further couple of emails with Chris Milner, the Editor of The Railway Magazine, who has sent me the following: Once again this is posted here with kind Permission from The Railway Magazine. roythebus - I'm as guilty as misreading text as the next person, so please do not take this as any criticism, but my interpretation is that the Class 117 has been reintroduced to the line for the first time since Roger Wright bought the line in 2008... and not that the line has been sold or the management/Directors have been restructured (in 2017). Hopefully I've put this to bed.... where I need to be right now , but I'll invite our EOR representative to post in the morning
