Not a lot of clues here - so unless you've seen the original pic there could be some interesting answers as to the location....

1948 BR Loco Trials, 34008 Padstow with a borrowed Stanier tender fitted with a waterscoop as standard which its own tender did not possess. The test route was Marylebone to Manchester, but the train had to go via Amersham due to gauging problems on the other route. The first coach looks like the dyno car followed by a set of Gresley teak coaches.
