This stunning view could easily have been of the old station at Chalford, near Stroud in the Cotswolds. It's not of course: where is it?

DWS: since it's clear from another thread you obviously have a copy of the book I took the pic from (Edwards and Pigram), I hope you note the care with which I removed the location name from the bottom of the pic..

Yes I do have a copy of this book, which was printed in Yugoslavia, but the paper on which it is printed is very poor and the photos are not that good.

As DWS and Harsig are cheating how about something from another book. Or better still, if it's obvious that you have the book these images are coming from.............don't post. Come on people - that last one was answered in less than 30 minutes, which hardly gives much chance of anyone having a fair crack at it. You are also spoiling the spirit of the 'quiz' IMHO. Discuss............

Discuss............ How about, in addition to when and where, another question HAS to be answered relating to the pic but not from the same book.

Another moment of glory gone - I knew it was Chesham when I looked at it.

Agreed - It was the water tank and Met Signal Box that are the clues ! Hmmm. That explains why I did not get it. Not many Met signal boxes or water towers on the C&SLR
