I think that looks like the Epping Ongar shuttle that slid through Epping station around 68/69

Wasn't that Neasen depot at the Neasden end, where the derelict A60's were stored before they were rehabilitated and refirbished?

I think in this case the driver had a heart attack or something? whilst driving into Barnet shunting neck, resulting in that mess.

Photo is from The 1938 Tube Stock, Piers Connor, Capital Transport. Book has lovely painting on front, yellow spine title. Don't know if its still available, certainly not seen it for a while, so may be discontinued.

I think that looks like the Epping Ongar shuttle that slid through Epping station around 68/69 Has anyone more info on this episode? blew that big time.....anyhow Alexh, IIRC a four car 62ts coming from Ongar locked up and hit a stick and just kept sliding on the steep down grade approaching Epping station, can't remember if it was a heavy frost or dew that made the track so slick. The train went through Epping apparently not loosing much speed at all went onto the derailers through the sand drag demolished all the cables and wires beyond that went down the embankment and stopped just short of a building. I think the few people on the train escaped with only minor injuries
