I'm going to go for Temple, purely because it's the closest to theatreland. I think that caption says 'Temple Station', hence the size of the missing bit of text.

What book is that from? I vaguely remember that pic and text from it. In the Ickenham pic thread I mentioned this book that I cannot remember the name to, and think this could be it.

I'll have a stab at Baker Street I'd also say either Baker Street or Great Portland Street, as it has the light fittings of these stations. |
