...and this time there's no track, so Harsig won't be at an advantage. More modern: where? (hard) And this one? (easier)

I don't get it: how the Hell did you two guys get Mansion House. Have you seen the photo elsewhere? If not, what were the clues giving it away as Mansion House?

If you look at the full Mansion House photo (presume it's been cropped here from the original) there are some people staring streight at the camera.

What original? That's all I had to post, from my reference book at least!

I remember when Mansion House looked like that about 12 years ago IIRC.

I knew it was Mansion House and Victoria as well - the curvature of the platform in the bottom photo is a dead giveaway. Likewise for the light fixtures in the top photo.
Sorry Phil, you're going to have to find something a bit tougher to stump Harsig and Motorman ;D ;D

John Glover has used that photo from Mansion House in at least two, if not more of his books. Like his theory that stainless steel helps track circuit operation by placing additional pressure on the railhead (yeah right - and the weight of the train isn't enough??) it's almost guaranteed that that photo will put in an appearance.

Well, on the forum's first birthday I can safely say that whatever's asked on this forum can be answered in a very short time by One of our wonderful members. And my MH pic was from a John Glover book.... I cannot win (not that I ever wanted to really!) So I think I'll have a sit down in a dark room...

Come on Phil, get yourself out of that darkened room and carry on the good work.
