with thanks to gantshill for supplying them today: Changes June 2016 to December 2016: sadly printed on even thinner card than the previous June 2016 edition. - new cover design; Metropolitan Diamonds by Gillian Carnegie 2016. - TfL Rail service, Brentwood-Shenfield; becomes dotted, 'no service from early January 2017 until late May 2017, check online for replacement bus information' - Custom House for ExCel; station crossed through, gains a dagger, 'station closed from January until late December 2017' - Edgware; gains a dagger, 'restricted step-free access from January 2017 until March 2017' - Highams Park; gains a dagger, 'no step-free access to northbound platform until March 2017' - Holland Park; station open, loses its dagger - Hounslow West; regains its dagger symbol, 'step-free for manual wheelchairs only' - Lambeth North; station crossed through, regains its dagger again, 'station closed until February 2017' - Lancaster Gate; station crossed through, gains a dagger, 'station closed from Tuesday 3 January until August 2017' - Kings Cross (Metropolitan/Circle/H&C); has lost its step-free symbol, no explanation - Paddington; loses its dagger - Tower Hill (District) station, now step-free to train.

I was just lucky as on my journey through Victoria I saw the new edition of the Underground map, and I thought that people might be interested in an early copy.

You can't keep a good design down, it seems! They both remind me forcibly of 1950's furnishing fabrics, too, though I think the design would have been too broad and loud to've been a moquette, though that is clearly what the colour scheme in both was based on. I don't know enough about design history to be sure, but I've a feeling that style of design was linked to 1951's Festival of Britain, if anyone else can elucidate further. Like it, anyway & the map isn't too bad, either.

there is alternate stop for that - one stop east will handle the traffic for excel for eastern end
