Inspired by the comment on the S stock thread, what is the most photogenic stock currently running on the combine? What is the most photogenic stock from days gone by?

I've found the A's, C's and D's very easy to photo because they have a slow acceleration and seem to stay at a good speed for photoing when entering and leaving a station.

I think that the 73TS is the most photogenic, as seen below:

I think that the 73TS is the most photogenic... I couldn't agree more. They look good both inside and out IMO...

Personally I think the 73 stock cab front has got worse aesthetically since refurbishment. 67 or 72 stock would get my vote out of the tube stocks, but there are some details along the car which could have been so much better (which they got right on the 73's).

Personally I think the 1995/96TS have their merits as well. The worst front for Tube stock IMO is actually the 73TS, those two 'rails' (for want of a better word) down the sides of the front door ruin it for me.

So when did they drop the rear-view mirror on the driver's side, Q8, and WHY? (question not quiz)

The rear view mirror was taken off at the start of the war I think and finally done away with when the last of the handworked door stock was scrapped in 1953. They fitted it to all stock air doors or not so as not to confuse drivers.

Most photogenic?? Got to be CO/CP stock. Lovely curvy bodywork... and it stayed 'rail-red' right until the end. And those compressors. What a pleasant 'almost musical' sound they made. Totally different from A-stock!!
