Pinner, bridge over Chapel Lane, looking into Pinner Memorial Gardens and car park. Very, very close, but not quite right.

Well now, I've had a good look at Google Earth and my own train riding. I'm pretty sure this is actually the Chapel Lane bridge, not the Marsh Road one. The Marsh Road bridge is the one immediately north of Pinner station, the Chapel Lane bridge is just a little further north. The Google Earth view shows that the orientation of the bridge skew plus the view of the car park and building (Pinner Village Hall) make this the Chapel Lane bridge. Any thoughts?

I can't check Google earth myself at the moment, but I do recall this bridge being immediately north of Pinner station and I would have identified it from Google maps and/or open street map and Google Earth if necessary combined with the view seen in previous and next photographs and the timestamp of all of them. This photo was taken at 2016-04-18 14:19:24, I have a photograph in stock taken at Pinner staiton at 2016-04-18 14:20:14, 50 seconds later. Although that only shows that this photograph is a maximum of 50 seconds travel from Pinner station as I don't know how long it was between arriving and taking the first photograph at Pinner station nor whether this was the first photograph I took at the station (not every photo I take makes it to the quiz, especially if I haven't got the settings correct first time).
It may be I am wrong of course - I'm not overly familiar with this part of the network

Just been looking at the signal scale plan. The middle of the Chapel Lane bridge MR52 on the local line is about 289m before the front of train's stopping position in the SB platform. The middle of the Marsh Road bridge MR50 is only about 164m (barely 10 car lengths) before the front of train stopping position. Driving guidance is to apply the brake a car before A763B which in normal conditions means the front would be doing about 45mi/h at MR52 and maybe 30mi/h at MR50. The first view posted cannot be MR50 because looking in that direction, slightly forward looking, you see the buildings in Marsh Road, not the Chapel Lane car park. The second view has the village hall to the left not the right, so again surely it must be the Chapel Lane Bridge. Anyway, hope you get a chance to look at Google Earth or similar.

I'm not commenting on the accuracy of what you're saying, because (to be frank) I have no idea. You mention the first view and second view though; it's the same image - the first is reversed. In this quiz the image might be manipulated (by all variety of means!) but it's always a case that the question image(s) and clue image(s) are just an edited version of the solution. We never a question picture that isn't derived from the answer photo in some way - for me that's part of the charm of this quiz.

OK, so now you've confirmed the first version of the image was the picture back to front and the second version is the same thing the right way round that surely is a clincher that this is the Chapel Lane bridge because of the skew across the lines, the view of the path up through Pinner Memorial Gardens towards West Lodge and the relatve position of Pinner Village Hall and the car park, together with some other details. However if you all prefer to stick to it being Marsh Road I don't really mind too much :-)
